Stucco is a paste consisting of fine-grained lime (usually air limes fats), powderedmarble, gypsum, natural pigments, and is mostly used for plastering walls and ceilings.

Due to its versatility, it adapts to any construction and period. Besides the decorative function, it strengthens the wall and waterproof, allowing natural transpiration.

The most famous is the Venetian stucco, also called «Venetian five years.» It is a coating that was invented in Venice (Italy) in the early fifteenth century. The finish shows a flat, smooth and shiny as a polished marble wall, with different shades of color of great beauty.
